Covenant House

Covenant House Vancouver provides food, shelter, clothing and counselling to the estimated 500 - 1,000 street youth in Vancouver. Their mission is to provide shelter and services to children and youth who seek help, with a priority of concern and commitment to those for whom no other service is available. They make every effort to reunite young people with their families and collaborate with community agencies and associations to improve the condition of families and children. Down Syndrome Research Foundation

The Down Syndrome Research Foundation provides specialized learning programs to individuals with Down syndrome and other developmental disabilities. From speech therapists and preschool programs, to post secondary courses, they offer new opportunities for students who have experienced barriers to learning. DSRF initiates and collaborates in a variety of research ranging from cognitive development to visual processing. They also provide information and support to families, educators, medical professionals and front line staff working in the field.
